With an eye on the future of the industry, changes need to be made in order to maintain current levels of travel flow, while reducing the impact on the environment of maintaining these movements. Through improvements in aviation technology, we are able to see a world in which aviation’s impact on the climate is heavily reduced in comparison to current levels, this can be through the likes of improved fuel efficiency, aerodynamic developments and further improvements in onboard technology, as well as technology affecting the way in which airports, as a whole, are operated. Although when thinking of the aviation business, many think of just a few names, it is small start-ups globally that are incubated by firms such as Boeing and Airbus in order to develop systems for the future. At JustJet we aim to assist with capital investment prior to the whales of the industry joining, all with the aim of reducing emissions and reaching a point for aviation in which we are able to reduce the global impact that travel has, thus assisting in reducing the impacts on the climate of our services.
Reduced Impact
As a charter brokerage, our services are totally focused on providing a seamless experience for our clients, but also ensuring that the impact of this on the climate is limited. Through the utilisation of our empty legs, you are filling aircraft that are otherwise empty, and thus only marginally differing the levels of carbon output that would have been emitted anyway, the marginal factor being solely the weight difference of the aircraft with passengers versus without. Through utilising empty legs, you are also reducing the output per capita of the operation of that aircraft, meaning that for all involved in an aircraft’s trip, both empty leg and primary charter guests, you are creating the most efficient setting for the aircraft to fly, by maximising capacity for every sector an aircraft is flying. This effective use of empty legs is something that JustJet has pioneered, improving capacity utilisation for aircraft and creating a more efficient, and dynamic, marketplace. This means that even when flying on a bespoke charter, you can rest assured that we are filling any empty sector your trip may have created, thus decreasing your own carbon footprint on average.

For every flight operated with JustJet, you can be assured that you are working towards the goal of reduced carbon output, with our team actively calculating the volume of CO2 released from your flight, then capturing a proportion of the volume to truly offset a part of your carbon footprint.
